Jordan Pruitt’s New Album “Don’t Lose Yourself”

“Don’t Lose Yourself” is slated to be included on the third studio album by Disney darling Jordan Pruitt, the talented 19-year-old singer and songwriter. The track was written by fellow Disney stars and pop sensations The Jonas Brothers. The acoustic version of the song, which Nick Jonas collaborated on, is a tempting teaser of what Jordan’s third album will hold.

Hailing from Georgia, Jordan began her life onstage adding harmonies to her dad’s church singing group. Never one to shy away from an audience even at a very young age, Jordan always knew that singing would be the driving force in her life. This talented girl has been writing her own material since the age of nine. In 2006, when she was the ripe old age of fifteen, her demo found its way into the hands of Grammy Award-winning producer Keith Thomas. As a result she was signed to Hollywood Records and quickly released her debut album “No Ordinary Girl” which was released in February 2007.

Jordan unveiled a new song, “Shy Boy,” by way of YouTube and Facebook on March 1, 2011. It turns out that the version released was a rough demo intended only for promotional use. However, a polished version of the song will be released on Jordan’s third album. The following month another tune, “What a Feeling,” was also leaked on the Internet. This song is also a track that will be included on her upcoming album. In July of last year, Jordan posted a preview of yet another new song, “Something’s Gotta Give” on her YouTube channel. All of these jams have a very danceable and pop-friendly vibe, sure to appeal to her many fans.

In February 2011 Jordan revealed on her Twitter that she is no longer contracted to Hollywood Records, and has inked a deal with Jonas Records, the record company owned and operated by the Jonas Brothers.

So just when can we look forward to a new Jordan Pruitt album? Never fear music fans. Jordan assures us that her new music will definitely be released in 2012. Well worth the wait, as this young superstar doesn’t even know the meaning of the word “disappoint.”
