A Biography of Jordan Pruitt
Born in Loganville, Georgia, in 1991, Jordan Pruitt is accredited with being a writer and a singer. She is also an aspiring producer. She was born and bred in a close musical family in Tennessee and started singing at the tender age of four years. From that point, she never shied away from singing in public, a move that saw her perform in front of thousands of people in renowned places like Centennial Olympic Park, Stone Mountain, Six Flags Over Georgia and the Fox Theater in Atlanta. She wrote her first song at the age of nine.
A life defining moment came when she got into a Nashville studio in 2006. She made demos that attracted Keith Thomas, a Grammy-winning producer working in Hollywood. These demos saw her sign a deal with Hollywood Records at the age of thirteen. She wrote and composed for two years before finally releasing an album in 2007.
In February 2007, Jordan released her debut album titled No Ordinary Girl. One of her singles, Outside Looking In, made it big, reaching number 64 on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album generated a lot of excitement and her song, Outside Looking In, generated a lot of plays on the web. The track also featured in the film Read It and Weep, a Disney Channel Original Movie.
In August 2008 she released her second album which went by the title Permission to Fly. Contrary to expectation, the album was generally considered a failure, with no songs making it to the Billboards. In the same year, she was signed on as the spokesperson for several multimedia marketing campaigns including Samsung, Colgate-Palmolive, Kraft, Kimberly-Clerk and the Limited Too Brands.
Since then, Jordan has released singles including Hey Shy Boy, Who’s to Say and Something Gotta Give. Which are considered as her great hits and have earned her a great name in the music industry.
Her third album is in the pipeline, and we are expecting it to be another hit.
When she has some time off, Jordan likes visiting her family and friends back in Tennessee. She enjoys being a role model to her younger sisters.
