Jordan Pruitt is the fresh, young talent who has taken the music industry by storm with hit songs like “Outside Looking In” and “Jump to the Rhythm”. She’s a singer-songwriter hailing from Georgia, and had dreamt of becoming a singer ever since she was young. Since her musical debut in 2006, Pruitt’s success in the music industry has continued to grow, and her talent as both a singer and a song-writer has garnered much attention.
Life-Long Love of Music
Jordan Pruitt was born in Loganville, Georgia, on May 19th, 1991. Her love for music began at a very young age and she began writing her own songs when she was just nine years old. She first began singing with her father at her local church. Since then she began to hone her craft and decided that she wanted to pursue music as a career.
Journey into Stardom
In 2006, Jordan recorded her first demo album and little did she know that this demo would attract attention from famous producer Keith Thomas. The Grammy Award-winning producer, who has worked with many legendary artists such as Whitney Houston. Keith Thomas immediately signed Jordan to Hollywood Records and from there Jordan’s music career really began to blossom.
Release of Music and Tours
She released her debut album “No Ordinary Girl” in February 2007, which placed in the Billboard 200. The album spawned the hit singles “Jump to the Rhythm”and “Outside Looking In”. “Jump to the Rhythm” was Jordan’s first single released from the album, and the song gained attention when it was featured in the Disney film “Jump In!”
“Outside Looking In” was featured in the Disney film ‘Read It and Weep,” which garnered the song and the song’s music video much attention.
After this, she toured with the Cheetah Girls and opened for them on their tour “The Cheetah Girls The Party’s Just Begun”. She also joined Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens on the “High School Musical: The Concert” tour.
After “No Ordinary Girl”
After the success of “No Ordinary Girl”, Jordan released her second album called “Permission to Fly” and she is currently recording her third studio album, which includes tracks written by The Jonas Brothers.
Jordan Pruitt’s star continues to rise and, having just recently signed to Jonas Records, we’re sure to see some exciting things from Jordan in the future.
